Our client one of the largest insurers and financial services provider in the East African region, with decades of experience in supporting individuals protect and create their wealth is looking for five dynamic, visionary individuals with excellent sales track record to serve as Unit leaders

Job Summary 

Responsible for selling and growing retail Life Assurance products through Financial Advisors under your supervision, including recruiting, training, developing, motivating retaining and providing overall leadership to the sales team and ensure key performance indicators for the Unit are met and if possible surpassed.

Duties

  1. Develop a high caliber, highly motivated, disciplined and productive team capable of meeting their individual and unit targets through recruitment, selection, motivation and retention of productive Financial Advisors;
  2. Conducting trainings on company products, processes, sales and soft skills to achieve results; and field trainings to ensure hands on approach to sales;
  3. Provide one-to-one coaching, mentoring and motivation to unit members and ensure that they effectively implement strategies and agreed action plans;
  4. Organising and coordinating unit activities – activations – to grow the customer base for the members in the unit
  5. Performance management and supervision to drive sales across all product lines and meet targets while ensuring business retention and growth;
  6. Market segmentation and opening of markets for financial advisors to secure business;
  7. Providing effective customer service to both prospective and existing customers;
  8. Preparing sales and other management reports as required from time to time;
  9. Identify and open pay points for the unit and monitor the sales growth in these markets; and
  10. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Agency Manager

Preferred Qualifications and skills

  1. Minimum of a Diploma in a business related course with the relevant professional qualifications in Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance – COP/ECOP. A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
  2. Must have a valid IRA License for the current year
  3. A successful track record of selling life insurance and/or team management will be a definite advantage.
  4. Highly networked and adept at connecting with people with capacity to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
  5. A high sales drive and a strong will to succeed with ability to offer leadership to a strong and dynamic sales team.
  6. A mature (28-40), confident, articulate person with strong communication skills;
  7. Results-oriented and able to work under strict deadlines to meet sales targets
