Our client a leading dairy products firm is seeking to employ a Supermarket Merchandiser in Nairobi, Ngara

Job Summary

To ensure that the products including Milk and Yogurt are in the right place at the right time, and in the proper quantity and quality

Duties

1. To ensure that the shelves of a retail store are stocked with products and displays them accordingly for customers to encourage sales in the supermarket.
2. Ensuring the proper sorting, labeling and tagging of the dairy products.
3. To maintain shelves by observing displays of products; removing damaged or freshness-dated products; tidying store shelves; providing optimum display of products
4. Forecast sales, and optimize the sales volume of designated products and meeting the set targets..
5. Gather information on customers’ reactions to products and forward observations  to the supervisor on the same.
6. Record all sales and other information required of the sales process and send to the supervisor on daily basis.

Required minimum qualifications;

1. Must possess outstanding communication skills.
2. Must be motivated, energetic, professional, courteous and organized.
3. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Minimum a Diploma in any business related field. Those with retailing, merchandise management, product procurement have a definite advantage.
5. Previous experience in the field of retailing or merchandising, preferably in supermarket is an added advantage.
