Our Client a wholly-owned subsidiary of an Insurance company selling life products is interested in engaging Bancassurance Sales Officers

Job Summary:

The Bancassurance Sales Officers will be responsible for selling and growing retail Life Assurance products through the assigned Bank Channel.

Sales and support of insurance at the branch level which entails cross-selling insurance products, consumer awareness/ customers’ sensitization initiatives, processing insurance transactions within defined terms and conditions, supporting clients with claims advise and documentation.

Duties

  1. Generating new retail life business from the Banking sector;
  2. Identify and leverage potential business opportunities and marketing initiatives at the branch/region and seek necessary support to actualize these into revenues.
  3. Training new and existing clients on retail life products;
  4. Attending to customer queries and complaints;
  5. Liaising with the various departments to ensure timely service delivery to the client;
  6. Providing timely and accurate quotations within the turnaround times;
  7. Ensure timely submission of claim documents and other requisite documents to claims department
  8. Gathering market intelligence to ensure updated product range;
  9. Participate in the preparation of revenue budget;
  10. Follow up to ensure persistency is at the acceptable rate;

Requirements

  1. Must have relevant professional qualifications in Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance – COP/ECO and a degree from a recognized university is also preferred.
  2. At least a minimum Mean grade of C+ in K.C.S.E (C+ in Maths and English).
  3. Good knowledge and working knowledge of  life insurance products.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills.
  5. Accuracy, attention to details and proficiency in the use of MS Office software applications
  6. Ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners.
  7. A creative, proactive, co-operative, assertive passionate and innovative individual with a passion for excellent results.
  8. Responsible, reliable, has leadership skills and business acumen to spot opportunities readily.
  9. Results oriented and self-driven with a proven performance track record.

Compensation

A stating working retainer of 20,000.00 together with commissions 40% of life business among others.
