Solar Installer Technician with EPRA license

Our client a Civil Engineering Company carrying our telecommunication projects in the region is looking for a project based Solar Installer technician, professional to install and maintain solar panels in a variety of locations.

Duties

1. Assess or survey the installation site roofs to find ideal panel locations and setting up safety equipment and securing the work area at all installation sites.
2. Analyzing the structure and measurement of areas for solar panel installation and installing solar modules, panels, or support structures, according to building codes and standards.
3. Configure and connect solar panels to the electrical system following standard electrical codes and safety standards.
4. Connecting solar panels and inverters and doing electrical wiring to integrate solar systems into the electrical grid.
5. Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot any issues to ensure optimal functioning and efficiency of the systems.
6. Coordinate with clients and other team members to meet project timelines and specifications.
7. Understand and implement local, state, and national regulations pertaining to solar installation and construction.
8. Maintaining records of installation procedures, issues, and maintenance work performed.

Qualifications.

1. A qualified Electrical technician in electrical engineering
2. Must have a solar installer license from Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA)
3. Familiarity with electricity and wiring procedures, experience in solar installation in residential and commercial buildings.
4. Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic systems and solar energy principles.
5. Proficient in electrical system installation and troubleshooting.
6. Ability to read and interpret electrical and architectural drawings.
7. Familiarity with power tools, electrical meters, and other equipment used in solar installations.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
9. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
10. Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Salary

The client is offering a negotiable starting Salary of Kes 50,0000.00 depending on the persons skills, experience and ability to learn
