Marketing and Sales Executive – Liquor Shop

Our client a Liquor Store located at Parklands Nairobi is seeking to hire two customer-focused, energetic Marketing and Sales Executive of high level of integrity and motivation.

Summary

Responsible in overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, including marketing supervising operations, enforcing proper procedures, assisting customers ensuring product availability and pricing while ensuring the store’s daily operations run smoothly and efficiently between 10am and 10pm.

Duties

  1. Coordinating the shipping and receiving of stock, record restock inventory and manage product displays.
  2. Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing their queries, providing updates on social media performance, and presenting reports on campaign results.
  3. Management of company’s social media including Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, WhatsApp, and work closely with the client service team, designers, and other stakeholders to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns, brand messaging and market placement.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Understand clients’ social media goals and align strategies to meet their specific needs.
  5. Create visually appealing content for social media channels, including short-format videos.
  6. Work closely with the design team to produce graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
  7. Maintain catalogs of available stock items, stock taking, managing shortages, take surprise stock, maintain inventory levels, ensure that the store is clean, organized and fully stocked at all times.
  8. Assist customers with their purchases in a friendly and professional manner to their satisfaction while solving problems at a day-to-day level.
  9. Identify customer needs by promoting and up selling the shop range of products to increase sales.
  10. Communicate effectively with customers to their satisfaction and answer inquiries about products, pricing, and promotions.
  11. Prepare regular sales reports based on activities and provide a record of expenses incurred

Desired Personal Traits 

  1. Mature (28-35 years) and responsible person who is of high integrity,  honest and having strong moral principles with a valid medical  and good conduct certificates.
  2. At least a diploma or equivalent with excellent basic computer skills.
  3. At least 1 year proven track record within a sales capacity, ideally within a retail or customer service role in the alcohol and beverage industry.
  4. Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash and operating cash registers.
  5. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required.
  8. Knowledge of liquor products and industry trends is a definite advantage.
