MACHINE OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (Film-Blow Machine)

Our client a rapidly growing innovative company offering agribusiness solutions to farmers, schools and co-operatives through their innovative products like Hermetic Grain(Cereals) Storage Bags, Garbage Bags, Silage Bags and Mulching Films, is seeking to employ an OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (Film-Blow Machine) with mechanical engineering qualifications.

The role Purpose

Safely assist in operating film blown or cast extrusion lines producing polyethylene film at accepted quality and productivity standards and give support to co-workers on other lines to reduce reclaim and downtime.

The operations assistant should also be able to handle recycling, liner printing and bag making machines

Duties

1. Should be able to understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedure to ensure all operations meet production specifications, standards and quality.
2. Set-up, troubleshoot and perform proper adjustments to the cast and/or blown extrusion lines while maintaining safety, quality and productivity standards.
3. Perform required quality checks, recording information and maintaining overall product quality.
4. Maintain clean, safe work area, by being efficient, neat and organized and keep accurate records for all designated data entry requirements.
5. Communicate and work effectively and positively with all co-workers
6. Must be willing to offer basic training to other co-workers and perform other tasks as directed by the machine operator or supervisor.

Requirements

1. Industrial manufacturing experience, operating a Film-blown extrusion machine is a definite added advantage.
2. Mechanical engineering qualifications with bias in industrial machines
3. A team-player with excellent interpersonal and exceptional organizational skills.
4. Excellent mechanical including diagnostic or troubleshooting skills.
5. Good communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. A person with a positive attitude towards work coupled with a commitment to achieving continuous improvement goals.
7. Willing to work overtime on need basis.

Salary

A salary of Kshs 30,000.00 will be offered to the best candidate deepening on qualifications and experience
