Embroidery-Quality Control Inspector – Deadline 20/07/2024

Our client a manufacturing company based in Nairobi industrial area, specializing in branded promotional items and uniforms including embroidered or screen printed Tshirts, polos, caps, shirts, aprons, dust coats, overalls, umbrellas, reflector jackets etc is seeking to employ an Embroidery-Quality Control Inspector. 

Reporting to: Embroidery Supervisor

Description

The main role of the Embroidery QC is to support the improvement of process throughout the testing and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

1. Inspecting/examining incoming and finished garments from the machine for defects.
2. Inspecting/examining trimmed garments.
3. Inspect output samples.
4. Supervise folding and packaging of garments.
5. Verification of color on print out issued by design against color on goods.
6. Propose improvement on production process.
7. Train team members on quality control measures.
8. Report and always keep a detailed record of product defects.
9. Make recommendations on how to prevent common errors or defects.
10. Operate the embroidery machine when necessary.
11. Any other assigned duties.

Experience and Skills

1. Minimum of 4 year relevant experience
2. Experience in technical embroidery work
3. Ability to read and understand instructional manuals
4. Able to operate and embroidery machine
5. Keen attention to details
6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
7. Excellent problem solving skills

Education and professional memberships

1. Certificate/Diploma in design or any related field
2. Computer skills.
