Our client, a vibrant leading microfinance Company providing financial and non-financial services locally and regionally to low and medium income earners in business and employed wish to employ an aggressive Customer Service Advisor with outstanding customer service skills, to support service delivery.

Job Purpose

The overall purpose of  growing, deepening and acquiring customer relationships and act as the first point of contact resolution for customers and ensure the delivery of excellent quality service by projecting a professional and warm image and provide accurate, valid, complete and educative information to customers using the right methods, skills, and tools.

Duties

  1. Explain the procedures, requirements when transacting as well as service offerings available to customers.
  2. Assist customers in making decisions on the firm credit offerings and in making them understanding the calculations for the credit facilities presented.
  3. Provide regular feedback to customers on the progress of their enquiries, loans and any other necessary information.
  4. Guide customers on how to correctly complete documents / transaction to ensure accuracy and completeness of these documents
  5. Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and turn dissatisfied customers into happy customers.
  6. Handle customer general enquiries, answering any questions and queries in person, over the phone, or online and exhaust all attempts to resolve customer enquiries before escalating to the line manager.
  7. Look for cross-selling opportunities to increase loan portfolio value and overall sales.
  8. Provide support and comprehensive product / service information to customers
  9. Build long term business relationships with customers
  10. While coordinating with other staff and service providers provide administrative support necessary in the credit facilities processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Academic Qualifications (must indicate grades in the CV)

  1. Must have a minimum grades as follows:
    1. KCSE Mean Grade, C
    2. Mathematics C+ Plus and
    3. English Language C Plain
  2. Must be an undergraduate with Bachelor’s degree in a business related course from a recognized institution or social sciences

Skills

  1. Ability to communicate with customers easily and effectively, persuasive and strong negotiation skills
  2. Excellent interpersonal, communication and public relations skills with excellent customer service
  3. ‘customer first’ attitude and approach to working
  4. Good sales and marketing skills with excellent numerical capacities.
  5. Proficiency in computers, working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
  6. Excellent organizational, administration skills and outstanding multitasking skills
  7. A team player with the drive to improve performance
  8. Whereas full training will be provided previous customer service experience is desirable and will be a definite advantage.
  9. Those of 30 years and below are encouraged to apply

Remuneration.

A guiding wage of Kes 30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Shillings Only) with additional commissions on performance will be offered to the most qualified candidate with the right attitude towards job and customers.
