App Tester / QA Engineer (Web and Mobile)

Our client IdealTech LLC, a New York-based app and web development agency to build modern mobile applications and AI-powered products is looking for a reliable App Tester / QA Engineer (Web and Mobile) (Fully remote) who is an expert at testing and breaking mobile applications to work closely with developers and the project manager to ensure our iOS and Android apps are stable, reliable, and production-ready.

Engagement type: Freelance / Contract (with potential long-term collaboration) and fully remote with flexible hours but may occasionally need to attend meetings or
aligned with US or European time zones.

Responsibilities

• Test mobile app features and bug fixes on iOS and Android
• Identify, reproduce, and document bugs clearly
• Verify fixes and perform regression testing
• Use Trello to track tasks, bugs, and testing progress
• Collaborate closely with developers and the project manager
• Help ensure releases meet quality and stability standards

Requirements

• Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken)
• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance and app testing.
• Strong understanding of iPhone (iOS) and Android operating systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly report bugs
• Ability to work independently and follow structured testing processes

Compensation

A working wage of 32,000 – 45,000 KES monthly will be offered to the most suitable candidate interested in the role
