Our client a premium rate services provider (PRSP), a mobile shortcode service provider, that offer value added services (VAS) including enterprise messaging solutions to subscribers comprising individuals, corporates, musicians and religious organizations is seeking to employ a self-driven professional with a strong ambition as a Business Development Manager 

Job Summary

Responsible for creating marketing strategies, overseeing the implementation of business development strategies by identifying opportunities for business growth, developing, and potentially closing new revenue and profit streams.

Duties

  1. Analyzing current and past market trends to come up with new business development initiatives aimed at increasing sustainable revenue generation
  2. Leading the charge on market research plans to identify and qualify sales opportunities through implementing marketing strategies targeting new prospects.
  3. Encouraging new and existing clients by creating, improving and presenting proposals to clients.
  4. Developing and pitching ideas for potential clients as a result of customer feedback and market analysis.
  5. To follow up with leads and determine new industries to pursue and the new trends in value added services in the market.
  6. Provide input to marketing including feedback on quality of leads from marketing programs.
  7. To process business and onboarding customers on shortcode platforms.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration, entrepreneurship, communication, or another related field.
  2. Strong business knowledge and at least 3 years of experience working in similar position in a well-known premium rate services provider in business processes and onboarding customers on shortcode platforms.
  3. Ability to effectively research new markets and a person with analytical together with being detail-oriented.
  4. Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making capacities with a customer focus
  5. Strong knowledge of sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  6. Advanced relationship building and marketing skills
  7. Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  9. Strong negotiation and leadership skills

Remuneration

A working salary of Kes 100,000.00 will be offered to interested and qualified candidate.
