UNIT MANAGERS

Our client a leading provider of life assurance products throughout Kenya, is looking for 3 Unit Managers for their branch in Nairobi.

Job Summary

Responsible for recruiting life insurance agents, training, mentoring, managing and achieving results through team and individual sales in line with the organization set business targets.

Duties

1. Recruit, select, train, develop, mentor motivate, supervise, and manage the agents under the unit.
2. Deliver new business as per the set budgets, retention of existing business in books, maintain and grow the relationship with the clients and agents through the provision of excellent customer Service.
3. Attain sales targets including production, persistence, productivity, and manpower growth for the unit.
4. Come up and roll-out innovative sales techniques as a lead to grow and achieve increase unit sales through the sales force.
5. To cultivate, build and maintain good business relationships  with clients, other business partners, and government agencies in liaison with the Branch Manager.
6. Conduct  regular performance management meetings to review sales targets progress.

Requirements

1. A minimum of a business degree in a related field, a postgraduate qualification in sales and marketing would be an added advantage.
2. A valid IRA license for the current year is a MUST for this position.
3. At least three (3) years proven sales experience in insurance or other financial institutions
4. Good knowledge of life insurance business
5. Good interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills
6. Strong presentation skills and Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
7. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-faceted team environment
8. Willingness to recruit and grow a competitive Team with excellent ability to coach and mentor a team
9. Experience in leading a sales team within the industry is a definite added advantage

Compensation

A stating working retainer of 50,000.00 during probation expected to rise to upto 200k on being confirmed and performance together with commissions, awards and overrides,
