Role Overview

This role is instrumental in managing our social media presence, crafting engaging content, and helping us build and maintain a vibrant online community.

Key Responsibilities 

a. Content Creation & Management:

• Assist in developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms, blogs, and newsletters.
• Help manage the content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of posts and campaigns.
• Identifying and leveraging trends

b. Creative Assets – Photography, Reels, Short Videos – for Social Media

• Fluent in how to create short compelling video content
• Attend our events and get great assets from them

c. Social Media Administration:

• With customer service team, monitor and manage social media profiles (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) by scheduling posts, tracking performance, and engaging with followers.
• Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to enhance our digital strategy.

d. Community Engagement:

• Interact with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in organizing online events, contests, and campaigns to boost

e. Analytics & Reporting:

• Track social media metrics and prepare regular performance reports.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve content strategy.

f. Collaborative Projects:

• Work closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to ensure content aligns with overall brand messaging and campaign goals.
• Work with external vendors where needed
• Assist in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance brand experience.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

• Prior experience or internships in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing are a plus.
• Experience in creating social media content for BRANDS – experience in implementing designs from a Brand Book – ensuring brand, tone, and design alignment

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is desirable.
• Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Planoly, Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, native platform insights).
• Creative thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Personal Attributes:

• A proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for social media and digital trends.
• Excellent organizational and time management  skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

A guiding negotiable wage of Ksh 40-50K  will be offered to the best candidate.
