Our client a fast growing   premier security company offering integrated technology-driven security solutions including Security personnel, CCTV & Surveillance, Alarms, Electric Fence, Event Security Management, VIP Protection, Alarm Systems, Access Control (Smart Lock & POS Gate Automation and Automated Parking) is seeking to employ a hardworking and reliable Human Resource Officer to join their highly motivated and dynamic team at their Mlolongo, Mombasa Road head office.

Job Purpose.

To manage all human resource functions within the security firm, ensuring efficient recruitment, deployment, training, compliance, and employee relations to maintain a disciplined and motivated security workforce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Development

  • Source, interview, and select qualified security guards and administrative staff.
  • Ensure timely deployment of guards to client sites. 

2. Employee Records and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate personnel files, contracts, and statutory compliance (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE).
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and  private security regulations. 

3. Training and Development

  • Organize induction and refresher training for guards on company policies, customer service, and emergency procedures.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training programs. 

4. Performance Management

  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of all staff. 
  • Implement performance appraisal systems and enforce disciplinary procedures. 

5. Employee Relations

  • Address employee grievances promptly to maintain high morale.
  • Conduct regular site visits to meet staff and assess welfare needs.

6. Reporting and Administration

  • Prepare HR reports for management on staffing levels, turnover, and disciplinary actions.
  • Advise management on best practices in workforce planning and HR compliance.

Requirements 

  • At last a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field with at least 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
  • HR Professional Certification (CHRP-K) and IHRM membership are an added advantage.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • An energetic team player, self-starter with a collaborative spirit and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal  skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in using office software including Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Compensation
