Our client a manufacturing company based in Nairobi industrial area, specializing in branded promotional items and uniforms including embroidered or screen printed Tshirts, polos, caps, shirts, aprons, dust coats, overalls, umbrellas, reflector jackets etc is seeking to employ a Finance Officer with experience with ODOO ERP system. 

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare financial reports for decision making including the Monthly Budget Control.
  2. Generation of customer quotes, invoices, ETR receipts, supplier LPOs and attachment to invoices
  3. Management of petty cash float and payment of cash for office supplies and petty cash reconciliation.
  4. Prepare cheque payment vouchers with relevant attachments and documentation
  5. Upload employee payroll EFT into the internet banking facility and submit payroll statutory deduction returns and payments including NSSF, NHIF and PAYE, Training levy, Pension / Insurance and any other.
  6. Deduction of Withholding Tax and submission
  7. Management of debtors, debtor account, creditors, creditor account reconciliation and issuance of debtor statements and creditor statements
  8. Review all reconciliations before payment can be made and facilitate and resolve conflicting issues or requirements.
  9. Implement ODOO ERP Software and manage finance files
  10. Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly and periodically gross margins by brand and by customer.
  11. Assist in various projects aimed at identifying and realizing cost savings.
  12. Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
  13. Prepare supplies procurement requests and suppliers purchase request for office supplies

Requirements

  1. A holder of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Business/ Finance or equivalent is mandatory and at least CPA II qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
  2. Prior Financial Accounting and/or internal control framework experience is a plus
  3. Knowledge of General Accounting Principles and Internal Financial Reporting Standards
  4. Strong Leadership skills, people management abilities and logical thinking skills
  5. Advanced working knowledge of an accounting system, computer, Analytical skills.
  6. Good communication, methodical and numeracy skills.
  7. Excellent planning,  organizing and budgetary skills

Compensation 

A guiding salary of upto Kes 50,000.00 will be offered to the best candidate depending on qualifications, relevant experience, skills, talents and attitude
