Our client an upscale full-service inn hotel conveniently located in Westlands, offering catering services, accommodation be it for local and international guests, missionaries, groups, families, couples, singles, students; conference centre services; events hosting like weddings, birthdays, baby/ bridal showers, wedding photo-shoot, garden interviews etc and  tennis and basketball courts is seeking to employ a Front Desk Receptionist on contract basis.

Job Summary

Provide excellent customer service by welcoming guests, managing the check-in and check-out process, answering questions and requests, and helping with administrative tasks at the front desk  while  handling customer complaints to full satisfaction.


  1. Welcome, inform guests of hotel rates and services, direct them appropriately and confirm reservations, ensure proper room allocation.
  2. Manage the front desk communication through phone and emails while using guest reservations program software.
  3. In liaison with chef order and pay dairy required products, beverages and vegetables besides facilitate receipt of invoices / delivery notes from suppliers for payment processing.
  4. Keep updated records of office inventory, supplies, expenses and costs
  5. Update calendars and schedule meetings between guests and the respective office
  6. Compute all guest billings and receipt guests’ payments from the restaurant, rooms, events and any other services offered.
  7. Manage and reconcile petty cash including payments like of casuals and staff expense reimbursement and other daily supplies
  8. Arrange for guest taxi transfers, accommodations and assist them with check-in and check-out.
  9. Maintain office security; keep a tidy and orderly workspace, with the necessary the stationery.
  10. Liaise with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests


  1. At least training in related fields including front desk operations, hotel management or hospitality to a minimum of a diploma level.
  2. Work experience handling guest service responsibilities, preferably in a hotel / reception setting.
  3. At least a diploma in Outstanding Decision Making and judgment Skills with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  4. Ability to be adaptable, flexible to changing circumstances, work schedules and new priorities.
  5. Professional appearance and attitude with excellent Customer Service Skills
  6. Planning and organizing skills with ability to attention to detail and accuracy
  7. Team player with conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to handle stress and stay calm under pressure
  9. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  10. Knowledge of computer applications.


A salary guide of upto Kshs 23,000.00 will be offered to the best candidate deepening on qualifications and experience
