Our client an award winning independent insurance agency company offering a comprehensive suite of insurance solutions is looking for a business development officer (Agent).

Job Summary

1. Responsible for driving business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities, and fostering client relationships in partnership with the firm leadership by prospecting and approaching leads or referrals for new business, assessing needs, and offering suitable solutions.

2. Work together with the leadership on business referred by management and other business associates to engage customers with presentations and closing deals.

Duties

a. Oversee the development of client presentations, negotiations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities.

b. Proactively identifying sales opportunities, prospecting for new clients, and developing loyalty with existing customers leveraging on existing networks and developing new leads and referrals from the business leadership.

c. Explaining the benefits, terms, and costs of various cover products, assisting clients through the application process, and managing policy renewals.

d. Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions ongoing support, and managing client portfolios.

e. Handling policy renewals, and assisting with claims processing

Required Qualities

1. Proven track record of successfully identifying and converting new business opportunities

2. A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving business targets and driving revenue growth,

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver compelling corporate presentations,

4. Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients,

5. At least a Diploma, those with business related field study are preferred.

Compensation

Attractive commissions and awards with a regular stipend of Kes 25,000.00 and allowances are on offer to the best candidate.
