Our client one of the largest insurers and financial services provider in the East African region, with decades of experience in supporting individuals protect and create their wealth is looking for five dynamic, visionary individuals with excellent sales track record to serve as Unit Managers to work in Nairobi CBD
Job Summary
Responsible for leading and managing a team of sales agents to achieve sales targets and business objectives including recruiting, training, developing, motivating retaining and providing overall leadership to the sales team and ensure key performance indicators for the Unit are met and if possible surpassed.
Duties
a. Recruiting, training, coaching, retaining and offering leadership to a team of Life Insurance sales agents.
b. Leading, mentoring, and developing a strong team of a sales force, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance of individual members,
c. Prospecting, cross selling Life Insurance products and enlisting potential clients to the firm.
d. Issue quotes, maintain Life Insurance client records and prepare reports and present senior management, provide updates on unit performance and progress while ensuring business persistency.
e. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues with the sales force
f. Work with other unit managers and departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization
g. Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring provision of excellent service delivery and address feedback arising challenges and client’s complaints.
h. Identify develop, and manage talent within the unit to foster a positive and productive work environment.
i. Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices
Requirements
a. A diploma or a bachelor’s degree,
b. The Certificate of Proficiency (COP) from the College of Insurance and must be licensed to sell insurance by IRA for year 2025
c. Strong leadership capacities including ability to lead, motivate, direct and manage a team of sales professionals
d. 2-3 years proven life insurance work experience in sales and team management with a strong sales acumen and the ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
e. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a capacity to build and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders.
f. Ability to handle and resolve conflicts within the team or with clients.
g. A customer-centric approach and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Compensation
An attractive subsidy is in offer together with unit performance rider, own commissions, and other benefits like Group life and medical covers, car loan that are pegged on performance.
