Automotive Service Technicians

Our client for over three years is looking for two young Automotive Service Technicians to handle office and field work including using the new technology by use of computers

Job Summary

The best candidates will provide automotive services of repairs, inspections, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely, and according to the required quality and time standards.

Duties

1. Complete repair orders within specified time frame and correctly to pass quality inspections and alerts appropriate personnel if delayed and coordinate with others to ensure parts are available to complete repair.
2. Advise others on safe and proper use of equipment and correct interpretation of data.
3. Reviews and evaluates service write-up to determine if additional information is necessary and what type of diagnosis is needed.
4. Properly disposes of used parts and returns unused parts to the Parts Counter person.
5. Ensure that all time spent on jobs and materials used are accurately recorded on job cards Work carefully to avoid accidental damage to vehicles and components during work activities
6. Seek to minimize wastage of all materials, oils and fluids by careful use and encouraging careful use by others
7. Promote dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.
8. Follow occupation health and safety rules and regulations

The requirements

1. One must hold a certificate in Automotive and must be 25 years and below
2. Ability to use computers and appropriately apply data and information collected through computers.
3. Ability to use, repair and maintain vehicles, machines and tools.
4. Ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail.
5. Problem-solving and customer service skills.
6. The ability to work and love working with your hands.
7. The ability to work well with others.
8. Knowledge of automotive engineering and technology.

Salary

The client is offering a negotiable starting Salary of Kes 20,0000.00 depending on the persons skills, experience and ability to learn
