Our client a reputable, and trusted event company offering full-service  corporate events, branding and conference Management is seeking to employ an Accounts Clerk of high integrity with advanced knowledge of regulatory policies and critical thinker to be located at Queens estate, Uthiru off Waiyaki. 

Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements including filing financial documents, updating physical and electronic records, prepare and process bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, budgets and other financial records according to established procedures.

Duties:

  1. Bookkeeping and general accounting in accurately receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks among other transactional documents.
  2. Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders.
  3. Verify payments and deposits made through the company account coordinate with the bank, online payment and tills to facilitate reconciliations.
  4. Posting financial transactions using Zoho accounting (online) software
  5. Produce a variety of financial reports, including management reports and support auditors to produce financial statements like income statements and balance sheets
  6. Manage statutory deductions in the payroll, SHA, NSSF, Housing Levy, PAYE, ensure timely release of salaries and payment to government agencies
  7. Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them, bank reconciliation and report any discrepancies found in the records
  8. Support tax payments and filing and maintain a financial filing system.
  9. Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
  10. Assist with budgeting as needed and support the team with various projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  1. At least a qualified person in accounts (CPA or ACCA) with two years of work experiences as an account payable and receivable account assistant. Those with a degree in accounting or relevant courses have a definite advantage
  2. Familiar with accounting invoicing software – ZOHO
  3. Strong organizational and time-management skills
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work well in a team environment
  6. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  7. Attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow within the field of accounting
  8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation:

A retainer of Kes 40,000.00 will be offered to the best candidates.
