A client offering rental Audio-Visual technology, including Sound Systems, Screens, Lighting, Content Management, Digital and Interactive Solutions, and Scenic Design. In addition, offer traditional event services such as event logistics and venue bookings is seeking to employ an Accounts and admin officer to be located at Le Mac, Church Road Westlands.

Job Summary:

Responsible in ensuring smooth office operations, managing  financial tasks, maintain financial records, and handle administrative duties,  and support accurate financial reporting

Additionally reconciling bank statements, filing financial documents, updating physical and electronic records, prepare and process bills, invoices,  and other financial records according to established procedures.

Duties:

  1. Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of an office, handling a variety of administrative tasks and ensuring the workplace runs effectively.
  2. Ensure accurate bookkeeping and general accounting, receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks among other transactional documents.
  3. Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase order and post financial transactions using Zoho accounting (online) software
  4. Execute statutory deductions and payment through the payroll, SHA, NSSF, Housing Levy, PAYE   and other deductions.
  5. Verify payments and deposits made through the company account coordinate with the bank, online payment and tills to facilitate reconciliations.
  6. Responsible for bank reconciliation, identifying discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them, and report any discrepancies found in the records
  7. Produce a variety of financial reports, including management reports and support auditors to produce financial statements like income statements and balance sheets
  8. Support tax payments and filing and maintain a financial filing system.
  9. Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
  10. Assist with budgeting as needed and support the team with various projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  1.  CPA or ACCA qualifications are desired with  two years work experiences as an  account assistant (payable and receivable). A degree in finance, accounting or relevant courses is a definite advantage.
  2. At experience in online accounting software, those familiar with ZOHO have a definite advantage.
  3. Someone with a desire to learn and grow within the field of accounting
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  6. Ability to work well in a team environment
  7. Strong organizational, attentive to detail and time-management skills
  8. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

Salary:

The best candidates who would fit in this growing position will be offered Kes 40 – 50K  with a possibility of growing in the firm.
